Michigan Liberal is accessible.
Right Michigan is accessible.
Lunchbucket Conservative is accessible.
But Blogging For Michigan is not.
The office of the Secretary has advised me that they would be revisiting this decision soon, and may make the decision to block all blogs from Senate computers.
(one would hope the House Republicans would block the pornography too, but I digress)
The Senate Democrats are outraged by this maneuver by Mike Bishop, and they will not support political censorship of any kind.
Now .. I have to throw this out there … it's ironic that the only site that the Republicans block is the one that doesn't allow them space to dump their talking points. Michigan Liberal has hundreds of more visitors per day than BFM, but they're not blocked. But ... they allow Saul Anuzis to post there.
At BFM, we consider ourselves professionals. We've worked hard to raise the level of Michigan blogging … we've covered the Michigan transportation plan, equal housing opportunities, equal communication access, alternative energy, and a whole bunch of economic development. We were the only blog in the state to cover the 1967 Detroit riot in depth. This is not the "rally the base" blogging that you see elsewhere. We're blogging hidden Michigan.
And the Republican Senate Majority Leader Mike Bishop, wants to keep hidden Michigan, hidden.
