| As early as this evening, the Michigan House of Representatives will be voting on a Supplemental Funding Bill that will look at additional revenues to offset departmental budget cuts made last week.
According to MIRS, the additional revenues being look at are:
If passed, this bill would protect Michigan's key priorities, including educating our children through K - 12 education, keeping police officers and firefighters on the job, and diversifying our economy.
For our future prosperity we must invest in these areas, and this supplemental funding bill would help to avoid drastic cuts that have already been made.
Now is the time to stand up for those priorities. The House and Senate must pass these reasonable and targeted revenue enhancements. Find and contact your state representative immediately urging them to vote in favor of a supplemental funding bill that would fund Michigan's priorities.
