Ron Paul Opens Flint Office

by: Christine

Fri Dec 28, 2007 at 05:46:25 AM EST

Ron Paul is opening his Flint office today.  This is his first Michigan office, and is located at 3068 Miller Road, off I-75, exit 117B.  The second office, in Detroit, is scheduled to open on Saturday.

The Flint opening kicks off with a "Ron Paul Holiday Walk-Off" from 11am to 4pm, at which local volunteers will meet and canvass the surrounding neighborhood. After the walk-off, volunteers will return to join supporters from Southeast Michigan and statewide for a rally and open house.

I...

Uh...

Er...

Ron Paul?

Umm...

Okay then.

Wow! (4.00 / 3)
I had no idea he had so many supporters in our state.  From the Businesswire link:

With over 10,000 volunteers, the Ron Paul Michigan campaign is the largest grassroots 2008 presidential campaign in the state.

This must make Romney nervous, and by extension, DeVos.  Did anyone notice that Romney's television ads look like the DeVos ones from last year's election?  Romney even dragged out the tired cliche about "single state recession."

Ron Paul's slogan... (4.00 / 2)
"I'm just like Bush without the pesky GWOT!"

A voice in my head tells me not to be so mean to the conservatives.  I work very hard to ignore that voice.

Ron Paul Revolution is alive & well in Detroit (0.00 / 0)

He is everywhere.  I can't find my other pics I took ... this is the newest sign I found, on Groesbeck.  (Kinda hard to take a good pic while you're driving past)

These are everywhere, as are the handwritten signs.  And the freeway blogging is great too.

I envy Ron Paul supporters.  I'm just not that excited about anyone.  I really want to be, but I'm not.

His is the only sign I've seen. (4.00 / 1)
In some ways, I hope he wins Michigan's primary.  I am so fed up with the MDP, DC Dems, etc. that the more this State can upside the apple cart the better.

Thanks Media Mouse (0.00 / 0)

And they're right ... you have to watch out for Ron Paul ... on the surface, he might appeal to you.  But if you really dig into some of these issues, he's crack-pot scary.  The MM article is a good one.

Signs in my blue neighborhood (4.00 / 1)

But he still was only polling around 4% among those magical "likely voters" at last check, so I don't think that we have too much to worry about.

Hey! (4.00 / 2)
You can see the grass in your neighborhood?? All I can see is about 6-8 inches of snow! Grrrrrr

Thank you for supportingDan Scripps!

Not anymore (4.00 / 2)
That was taken just before the snow came and stayed- but I bet the sign is still up.

Dude (or dudette) has two stickers on the car also. Big fans, obviously.

Follow up (0.00 / 0)
Republican presidential candidate and Texas Congressman Ron Paul's campaign drew over 150 individuals to its Detroit office grand opening on Saturday. The office, at 18981 Telegraph Road, was open from 11am to 7pm, and drew a mixture of area volunteers participating in a "Ron Paul Holiday Walk-Off," or canvassing effort, supporters throughout Wayne County, and local undecided voters.

At 5pm, approximately 50 supporters lined the intersection of Seven Mile and Telegraph Roads for a rally and sign-waving.

"We are very encouraged by today's turnout," said Paul state coordinator Leslie Roszman. "Supporters dropped by to pick up hundreds of signs and thousands of flyers, and they are taking to the streets of Detroit, spreading Dr. Paul's message of freedom, peace, and prosperity. No other campaign is this active in Detroit, and we hope to turn that support into votes on January 15."

The Detroit office is the second Ron Paul 2008 campaign office to open in Michigan. On Thursday, the Flint office opening at G-3068 Miller Road drew over 50 supporters from 4-7pm.

The Ron Paul 2008 Michigan campaign has over 10,000 volunteers statewide.
