| My last post before all this was about how Spartan Stores is a Michigan success story.
Is there a reason Mike Bishop's office doesn't want the Senate reading about Spartan Stores? Or dSpace? Or Titan Energy Development? Or the ACC? or Kaydon?
There are lots more Michigan success stories ... just go to my page and scroll through my diaries. Then ask yourself, why doesn't Mike Bishop want the Michigan Senate to have access these success stories?
(wait, I'll guess .. because conservatives like bad news?)
Is there a reason Mike Bishop doesn't want the Senate reading about the status of civil rights in Michigan, and equal communication access for the deaf and hard of hearing? What is Bishop's problem, that his office doesn't consider this information worthy of the Michigan Senate?
*exhale*
Oh, and then there's this gem:
" Michiganliberal.com doesn't matter, they don't say bad things about us."
They don't??? ML is the leader of the Michigan blogosphere, and they don't like Mike Bishop.
To be honest, I don't care too much that Bishop's office said that, but I have to wonder ... is this Matt Miner's first day on the job? Of course that's his motive, but jeesh ... you don't say it out loud.
Miner said he didn't think blocking the site would be a big deal.
Bishop said he didn't think the budget would be a big deal. Not too many sharp tacks in Bishop's office.
Then the comment that really gets under my skin ... from subscription only Gongwer:
Matt Marsden, spokesperson for Senate Majority Leader Mike Bishop R-Rochester), said the decision to close off access was made Mr. Bishop's chief of staff Matt Minor. "It was fairly clear that this blog had access to Senate information off Senate servers," Mr. Marsden said.
This is absolutely not true, and it's character defamation.
Matt Marsden should not be accusing me or BFM bloggers of inappropriately accessing state information. Mike Bishop and Matt Marsden have accused us of a crime.
We do not have access to anything on the servers, nor have we ever attempted to access Senate servers or other Senate equipment, other than the Senate web sites which are made available to the public.
Bishop's office should apologize for that remark. |
