Senate Republican SOD for 8/3 - Where to begin...

They're just trying to marginalize us... (4.00 / 1)

They saw Sen. Cherry's post on here and decided they needed to marinalize us so the netroots don't overpower them.

Problem is, they were about three years too late for that.

They didn't mind us when we were little more than a nuisance in our early days.  But now that the Dems have validated us (either by Prez candidates attending YKos or the State and local ones posting here) they're trying to fight us.

Too late.

A voice in my head tells me not to be so mean to the conservatives.  I work very hard to ignore that voice.

This started before Cherry's post went up- sometime yesterday early afternoon. Maybe they got wind she would be posting here, who knows.

My theory is that Bishop was pissed at Schauer for the news conference he held. This was a way to get him back.

Or, they just didn't like the fact that I was pointing out what they do on a daily basis.

Since the MSM won't do it- we should. All of us. From here on out.

Senate Republicans are holding back our state from recovery. It's time the citizens of Michigan know that.

No desire to be a media star.

Played in a band for nine years. Did the interviews, did the photo shoots, did the live radio, been recognized in the grocery store and asked for autographs... I didn't like it all that much.

Then, as now, I justed wanted to play my song. The rest of it was kind of annoying.

The thing that gets me in that the info is out there - and no one (but us) seems to care.

His behavior all year has been atrocious.

From skipping out on meetings with the Governor, to calling her names in the press, to ramming through late night cuts and not letting debate be held, to the vote to change the rules that allowed them to stay on vacation, to reneging on an agreement that he now tries to claim never happened, even in the face of everyone else in the room saying it did, dragging his feet on a budget fix as tuition rates go through the roof, and now censoring information because it says bad things about him ... and... and... what else am I missing? I'm sure there is more.

It's all out there. And no one will give a damn until he shuts down the state government.

You should be very proud. You have been so effective in pointing out Bishop and the Senate Republican's political agenda that includes holding state government hostage that Bishop tried to censor us. If nothing else proves how effective we have been this certainly does. He can block it, but Senate staffers know if they want the truth they can come here on their home computers. The word will still get out because he can't block us all.

Good for you for calling out the Mike Bishop and the Republicans for the whining crybabies that they are.  They try to act all tough and everything, to use the language of the 6-year-olds the mimic, but as soon as you call them on their behavior, they start to throw a tantrum. 

Poor Mikey, he doesn't like it when people say mean things about him.  Then he takes his ball and goes home.  Does he really think blocking BFM at the State Senate will keep people from reading?  Blocking BFM from Senate computers will just make people more anxious to get home to read what happened on BFM while they were in the Senate building using Senate computers. 

Mikey for Governor?  Ha, a joke, now that he's revealed his true self as a bully, unworthy of one vote of one Michiganian and not one tenth the woman Jennifer Granholm is, even though he's a guy. 

Grow up, Mike.

My name is already out there, or so I had been told. It really isn't that big of a deal for me to do that- I was a bit flabbergasted that they thought I was a Senate employee.

The only reason I was reluctant to get it out there in the first place is because a good friend of mine was stalked and harassed at one time. I've been cautious ever since.

But if something were to happen to me now... this actually is a form of protection, in a way. It's a starting point for an investigation. Electronic fingerprints abound.

I'm willing to stand behind the things I say with my real name. I'm not afraid of these guys.
